From getting back to full movement after surgery or just making getting up off the couch a bit easier, our Wellness clients are each a success story in their own right.

Maya

Maja came to me having in her words “never felt comfortable in a gym, and not having a clue what a calorie was”. We discussed her goals which focussed mainly around weight loss, but also just feeling fitter and happier in general. We began slowly with a mixture of bodyweight and resistance machine work as well as some challenging but manageable circuits. Maja has been an absolute dream to work with. Her focus and dedication as well as her understanding that “Rome wasn’t built in a day” –  to make sustainable and lasting change takes time, has meant progress has been steady and long lasting. She should be incredibly proud of what she has achieved.

I started working with Ben to start my weight loss journey as a complete beginner in fitness, Bens been amazing with demonstrating and talking me through every exercise, he’s also very caring, committed and knows exactly which steps to take in what you’re working on, not only the fitness but the nutrition, Ben has set me a plan with a daily calorie intake to suit me and my weight. He has also given me daily goals such as daily steps, stretches and motivating me to drink plenty of water everyday. The suite its self is a positive and judge free environment and to say I feel completely comfortable there is amazing.
Nearly twelve months in and I cannot thank Ben enough for his support. i have lost over 20kg in weight and absolutely love my strength and fitness training. Two things I never thought possible. If anyone is thinking of making a start with health and fitness i can’t recommend Ben enough.

Bob

Bob is an absolute inspiration and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of his rehabilitation journey. In the 6 months or so we have been working together, Bob has come on in leaps and bounds. His fitness, his strength, his mobility, all from a first session where a few bodyweight exercises were almost too much for him, Bob now uses weights, bands, kettlebells, a step and more. Last week he blew my mind when held a plank for a minute.

I felt I had to write this short thank you to Ben Clifton at Prosperity Health and Fitness. I was unfortunate enough to spend most of late spring and summer of 2023 in either Manchester or Lancaster Royal infirmaries, much going on that was not a pleasant experience.
Once out, I had lost some 60lbs, my daily exercise could get me to the end of the road and back (all of a couple of hundred yards).
A friend suggested I get a personal trainer involved with a view to both building up my weight, but also to regain the strength I once had. I approached Ben, he came to the house, talked though what we both think we needed/expected and started on a regimen of twice a week home visits. Progress was slow (in the beginning) but steady, and as of today I have put on about 14lbs, all good weight and am now able to get out and about for a good hour’s walk. Something I never envisaged back in October.
To those who are in the same boat as me having found how frail you can become after a few weeks in Hospital, I can, from experience, highly recommend Ben and his regimens. I seriously thought when I got out of hospital in August I would not make Christmas, but here we are mid January and looking forward to the lighter nights for outdoor activities.
Its been challenging at times but the benefits far outweigh the hard work, in as much – blood pressure down, good appetite, physically stronger, all thanks to Ben.
Bring on the summer months!

James

James is a dream to work with. His dedication is second to none. However big his goals continue to be, I have no doubt he will continue to smash them, His raw power and pound for pound strength is incredible and to be able to help him harness it is a fantastic opportunity for me as a PT.

Since working with Ben I feel stronger than I have ever felt. I gave Ben very specific targets that I wanted to achieve and the timeframe in which I wanted to achieve them. Ben’s programming has meant that I hit my targets ahead of schedule and left me genuinely contemplating moving into competition power lifting, something I would never have previously considered. Ben is not just a very good coach and PT but has become a great friend along the way too.

Danny

Danny has been incredible to train. As well as me being able to push him; working with him has allowed me to explore new areas of what I am capable of as a PT. I have been able to double down on all aspects of performance coaching with Danny; strength, conditioning, short intense bursts, endurance, stamina the lot and I’m so pleased to be able to say that not only has his hard work paid off but he has chosen to carry on training with me after his initial reason for training was completed.

I’ve known Ben for quite some time and always heard good things, I had to prepare myself in 8 weeks for a fight so i thought id give Ben a shot. Thank God I did.

Not only is Ben an absolute amazing bloke he knows his s**t, a different session each time with things I’d never tried or seen before, I told Ben I had no boundaries and he definitely exploited this, pushing me to the my absolute limits to the point I was close to giving up but this what I wanted and needed.

I feel ready, physically and mentally, my fitness, speed and strength are on point, I will definitely be continuing my sessions and I cant thank you enough.

REAL CHALLENGES WITH A REAL PURPOSE

Every year, Ben takes on an extreme endurance challenge and over the years he has raised over

£15000

for a range of amazing causes, not to build his portfolio or sell quick fix programmes, but to go beyond fitness and give back through action whilst living the values he teaches.

Past challenges include

9 in 48

Having done a lot of fundraising in previous years Ben wanted to do something really big that people would be happy to get behind and sponsor him again for. He came up with the idea of combining three recognised challenges of the National 3 Peaks, The Yorkshire 3 Peaks and the Welsh 3 Peaks into one. Hence the 9in48 was born.

Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, The Yorkshire 3 peaks round – Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen Y Ghent, Pen Y fan, Cadair Idris, finishing with two summits of Snowdon. Once for the National 3 Peaks and once for the Welsh 3 Peaks, all with a time limit of 48 hours (including travel time). The challenge was successfully completed in just over 46hours

Burpee Bonanza

In memory of his mum and in honour of a great friend he again wanted to do something beyond the average fundraising event. The Burpee Bonanza consisted of 1500 Burpees and 30km of running, broken down into 10 consecutive rounds of 1km run, 10 burpees, 800m run 20 burpees, 600m run 30 burpees, 400m run 40 burpees, 200m run 50 burpees. The challenge took 10 hours and in his own words, “Took me right to the edge”.

  • One off fee for a 12-week exercise programme including nutritional guidance and advice, twice weekly check ins via WhatsApp or email plus an hrs zoom/teams call after 6 weeks.
  • Personal Training at Our Fitness Suite
  • £40 an hour
  • Save money by paying monthly as you won’t pay more in a five week month than you do in a 4.

  • £50 per hour
